Hand Palm by Joseph Dixon
£0.00
A Hand Palm iron by British workshop Joseph Dixon.
Used mostly in leatherwork to assist in passing needles through thick leather, in a similar principle to a thimble.
The iron is rested in the palm of the hand, both to protect it and for placing the needle at the centre to apply force.
Also hollowed at the the tip to receive the heel of the needle and push it through.
Finally the diamond shape hole in the neck is used if the needle gets stuck, to move it side to side and and loosened.
Stamped: Joseph Dixon
Clean and free of rust
