Antique Welt Mill

Antique Welt Mill

£0.00

Mid 1800s welt mill from an English workshop.

This tool is used to reduce the thickness of the welt.

It is strapped on the knee with a shoemaker’s stirrup strap. A straight blade is set against one of the thickness levels and the welt pulled through.

One of the oldest tools in a shoe maker’s kit and requires some skill to be used.

Made of wood and brass.
